In Alfredo’s words
Letter to readers
A thank-you to his readers, written on 20 February 2008.
Under Lili Marleen's sones, sung by the unforgettable and immortal German artist Lale Andersen whose life or race was also affected with war. I have been using this means of communication as an opportunity to pay tribute for his composers but interpreters mentioned in that play while saying a few words about their production Alegres Soldados on the web.
First of all, thank you with great heart for the excellent reception among readers including young men and women who - lucky as they have nothing to remember personally about their suffering.
I have been aware that the advanced age and complexities of modern information technologies are insufficient an excuse, but should ask for forgiveness about my slow response to many messages received.
Some of the communicators have been making recommendations to me about an extension or improvement. That flattering my vanity, but as a writer and an historian I do not believe that this work corresponds to the scholars in matter because we only intended with them how few songs rejoiced their lives at Jolgory under very little circumstances.
I will not indicate websites where to expand information as, for sure and good you would have forgotten some valuable or interesting ones. I therefore advise those interested in these issues to consult with the network's search engines. I have a great opportunity to propose that we give them some information about the scientific studies and jobs currently available at bookstores.
Finally, I wish to highlight my grandson Javier's untiring work: creator of the domain www.alegressoldas.es promoter with his idea that we should make public our book in a digital and true motor for information technologies as an instrument.
I reiterate my vivid thanks and have been mindful of the presence with them. Alegres Soldados That they are no longer among us.
