In Alegres Soldados, Alfredo González Díez brings together wartime experiences, memories of his comrades and the songs that accompanied those years.

His account explores the Spanish Civil War and the Second World War from a personal perspective: that of someone who wanted to record what he had experienced and heard.

“It is simply a matter of recounting the feelings and emotions of people whose youth was transformed by the wars of the twentieth century.”
